My Portraits:

Creating a likeness is only the first step with my portraiture.  My true goal is to accentuate the character of the individual I paint or draw.  Expressive eyes, the gesture of a pose, the lighting or colors of a scene, and environment all work together to create a story for the viewer.  I enjoy listening to my intuition and paying attention to visual cues that I can use in capturing the essence of an individual.
